This is Movits!

Last year Stephen Colbert found the Swedish Jazz/Swing/Hiphop ensemble Movits on the Internets. For reasons that'll become more obvious if you watch the music video above, he got his crew to get the guys over from Sweden to perform on their show. (You can find the episode here by the way.)

I only have basic cable so I didn't see the Colbert Report on Comedy Central, but a mate let me know about them and sent me some Youtube videos and stuff, and then I became a huge fan. I'm not much of a hipster so I can't lie and pretend I've been into them for years, though. In fact I'm not even hipster enough to be all that disdainful of hipsters so I'll retract the previous statement. But a responsible individual would tell you about them, and that's what I'm all about: being responsible.

Last night Movits! kicked off their North American tour at Great Scott in Alston, MA. My mates and I were there and we had a great time and came away really happy and impressed with those guys. You can find Movits! North American tour dates here.

Oh yeah, if you were the big beefy bloke dancing like a deranged walrus in front of me, you stepped on my feet a few times, mofo. If you're six-foot three, you have a moral obligation not to swing your elbows. I don't care how good the music is, you nearly did me an injury.
